Valentine Thank You
Thank you to everyone for bringing in Valentines to share with the class! The children were very excited to pass theirs out and were even more excited to receive their own. A special thank you to everyone who so generously contributed the snacks, drinks, and paper goods. We all had a wonderful celebration!
Parent Conferences
Another thank you goes out to all who were able to come for our parent conferences. It is such an important part of the communication link between home and school as well as a wonderful opportunity to talk together without being interrupted! As always, if after the conference you have further questions or would like additional information, please reach out and let us know.
Our Study of Dinosaurs
We are now beginning to wind down our study of dinosaurs and are so impressed with how much your children have learned. The vocabulary, pronunciation, characteristics specific to certain dinosaurs, habitats, size, eating habits, etc. have all been talked and read about. Please be sure to come to our celebration (see paragraph below) and share in their learning!
Celebration of Learning - Dinosaurs
This is just a reminder that as a culmination of our study of dinosaurs, there will be a special Celebration of Learning in our classroom, hallway, and STEAM LAB on Monday, March 5th from 8:00 – 8:40 AM. Please mark your calendar, arrive as close to 8:00 AM as possible to allow enough time to see everything, and come check out our world of dinosaurs. Parents, siblings, grandparents and special friends are all invited to attend. Upon arrival, please help your children with their usual hallway routines, take their clipboard, and begin.
Our Friend Charlie
It is with sadness that we prepare to say goodbye to our wonderful friend and classmate Charlie as he and his family head to Massachusetts at the end of next week. The Smith family has been a part of the TCS community for the last 4 years and they will all be missed. We know you join us in wishing them all the very best.
Dr. Seuss and Read Across America
During our final week of school prior to March vacation, we will be busy celebrating Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ birthday. We will be sharing several Dr. Seuss stories in class and have a few guest readers coming in to read. We will visit the Kindergarten classroom where all the current Kindergarteners will read Dr. Seuss books and some of their own writing from their poetry journals to the PreKers. These exciting opportunities further encourage and promote the development of important pre-reading and beginning reading skills, while also fostering a love of literature.
Happy Vacation
We wish you all a relaxing, restorative, healthy, and fun-filled vacation and we look forward to seeing you on Monday, March 26th.
